"Test tubes a go go!"
Impossible opens shop for the virgin voyage and we sample a little bit of everything we'll come expect from future episodes. Doctor Yes turns music notes into sick notes, finding out that music is not only truly sick but lazy as well. Later on he visits the salty seaweed hideaway of French explorer of the deep Jacques Cousteau. During this visit the doctor becomes bored and is hit by a truly terrible bout of flatulence and an urge to make underwater lemonade. On the verge of blowing his bum trumpet he launches into a song about raspberries. Father Black Wright introduces us to his mutant friend Lizardboy and we learn about his super hero back story through song. While Lizard croons, Black Wright performs a riverdancesque tap routine that leaves him panting for breath. Elsewhere Lee Chang Ping begs for licks and love from his cat collection deep in his hilltop dungeon. Pushy Parker and Neil Nevers oversees everything while recreating holographs of Henry the 8th's tears and learning how to make water sing!
"The helpful hand of hope"
The second instalment of Impossible is a real tear jerker when the guy's and gals and monsters are mistaken for guardian angels. First in need is Minnie Mouse who happens to be trapped in the centre of the world. When Neil Nevers hears about this dilemma he instigates a big rescue operation. This involves battering the solid rock with compressed sound waves and drafting in Doctor Yes and actor James Stewart to calm Minnie's nerves by talking to her through an enormous pipe. As work begins to free her, the whole situation makes Minnie burst into one of the most heart breaking songs ever written. Meanwhile in Morocco, Father Black Wright tries to help old stress monkey Humphrey Bogart get over a mental block using melody regression. Problems arise when Bogie loses his mind every time he hears the Casablanca torch song "as time goes by". The Father's treatment is unsuccessful and Humphrey casually takes his own life with a 12 bore shotgun. We also hear about Impossible's missing pet monkey Barbara Bananas who ran away to Hollywood to try and secure a 5 picture deal with M.G.M. but is now a suspected serial killer. Not forgetting an update from Chang Lee Ping as he tries to rescue fish he believes to be rare "Land fish" removing them from the sea with disastrous results.
"The most terrifying sound in the world":
In this episode Father Black Wright is locked away in his Monastery, looking for the book of lost souls, like John Rambo he is persuaded by Doctor Yes to go on another tour of duty to record the sound of the Holy Grail. Harrison Ford claims to be the only human able to cope with the holy sound and will verify the authenticity of any experimental findings. Meanwhile Lizardboy is pushing his film of the week "Glass bricks", an intriguing tour de force about a comatose clown genius and the never-ending search for the elixir of life. Plus he's forced to advertise a chilling album of old Irish mafia songs made by his fair weather friend Little Green Keith. Episode three reaches its maximum when The Lab produces a frequency more deadly than all the fires of hell. Chang Lee Ping summons the voice of the dammed which sounds like the Devil dying whilst tormenting Hitler on a bed of nails.
"The naked sex episode"
Impossible gets horny starting with a pow wow involving Larry Hagman (a.k.a J.R from Dallas). Nudity is essential and maintained throughout the episode.Chang Lee Ping braves having a mind chip fitted into his brain kinking him out as he performs a sex act in a washing machine and delivers a Prince style funk tune called "popsex". Elsewhere Doctor Yes tries a little bird watching in a forest full of cocks and tits as well as building an enormous dream catcher out of mud enabling the team to use it as a nookie hut. From this filth cabin Doctor Yes tries to climb an enormous totem pole carved up with ghoulish characters, hoping to free his mind from poppycock. Father Black Wright joins the action when he tries a love potion and goes on a speed date with a young maiden who turns out to be his own sister, Sue Black Wright. The whole episode climaxes with some sensual bakery, featuring a blue velvet era Dennis Hopper; oddly this bread needing ritual summons the voice of a very relaxed Jesus. The show closes with Twinkies favourite song "Widow Twanky", a call to arms to all would be pantomime transvestites.
"The thought of food"
In this episode we meet Impossible's official football squad 'Harbour Terminal Roughnecks F.C' and hear all about their reliance on cauliflower as a laxative. We're treated to a chat about the importance of Robocop with their manager Lizardboy and hear a rousing folksong about the humble cauliflower sung by Bitter Tony, the team's star striker. Meanwhile there's a trip to Twinkies cottage learn about the devastating affects of "powerful soup" which sends people red headed with fever and enables candles to be lit using the ear. It's back to Morocco for Father Black Wright when he visits the Plucked Parrot in Marrakech with screen legend Orson Welles. The food floats majestically in front of them as they dine together on lamb shanks generated purely by sound waves. The King of Irritation and official sponsor of impossible (Ian Kerchief) pokes his head round the door trying desperately to sell his lunchbox pro porthole System. This bit of hardware force feeds you miniature Pizzas through a brass coated ships porthole as you kill Trolls on the inbuilt digital interface. We also hear about a potato that can bend spoons from a distance of over forty yards found in the mountains of Hollywood.
"More life on other planets"
Show six starts with a visit to an idyllic World War Two family. They are interrupted by a spinning metallic disc which they rationalise is their dog, Barney, caught by a trick of the light.back at The Lab they seem to have visitors when a harrowing space age noise appears to be coming from deep inside the stomach of Doctor Yes. The situation is resolved with a trip to the local carvery. Tucking in to his pork dinner, Doctor Yes reminisces about a reasonably priced truckers Cafe run by aliens halfway up the A66. This place simply put all competition to shame with milkshakes using real fruit and a great atmosphere. There's a visit to Twinkies cottage where we learn about Titoe's metallic device. This mischievous little fella keeps magnets hidden deep in walls to control flying objects, sending his poor Grandmother loopy. Granny draws up seemingly pointless inventories featuring all the pantry items the aliens may or may not have stolen. When Titoe's father routinely removes parts of the wall, his son's secret is revealed. Show six ends suddenly when the impossible team pick up radio messages from ice men living on the sun. Neil Nevers decides its time dust off the laboratory's catapult shuttle and investigate but with such primitive technology will this be a bridge too far?
